Details:The largest dedicated river cruise event in the World is back for a second year! After a fantastic first ever River Cruise Expo in 2011we are heading back to Amsterdam in November 2012 for our second event, with more river cruise ships, networking and conference sessions being squeezed into November 18th and 19th. This is an event geared at those who want to learn more about the fastest growing sector of cruising, showcasing some of the destinations and ships that make up the modern river cruise offering. European river cruising is on the up as more Brits chose to sail the region"s waterways in 2011.The latest figures (courtesy of the PSA) show that the UK European river cruise market grew by 7% in 2011 to 80,000 passengers. The number of British passengers choosing a combined cruise along both the Rhine and the Danube doubled, while the French rivers of the Rhone and Seine saw a combined increase of 28%. Further afield, the Russian waterways saw an 11% increase, while the number of holiday-makers taking river journeys in Asia and China rose by 6%. The trend for cruising the world"s rivers continued to grow and, with the exclusion of The Nile, saw a 5% increase in the number of UK passengers taking a cruise. For those who can do an early start on November 18th the day begins at 10:30 with optional one-to-one meetings. The full programme starts at 11:30 with our conference sessions, lunch, Trade Fair and networking giving us a full day to cover the modern river cruise, river cruise destinations, and on growing your river cruise business. That evening we will celebrate river cruising in style with dinner at a venue to be announced. Accommodation will be on-board one of the river cruise ships in port (subject to availability). November 19th is all about the amazing river cruise products available and the chance to visit multiple river cruise ships in port just for us! Confirmed ships for visits and product training include AMA Dante, S.S Antoinette, Avalon Vista, River Cruise Line Switzerland II, Royal Crown & Calypso II (TBC) - a final line up will be confirmed closer to the time. After lunch you can then depart from approximately 15:30, or join us for a "taste of Amsterdam" optional tour to 17:30. Register now at www.cruiseexperts.org for your place.
