Emirates introduce an extra touch of class!

Award-winning Emirates has announced that it has added one more main booking class ââ¬ËœPââ¬â¢ in its reservations system and global distribution systems.

The four reservations booking designators will be P (First Class with private suites), F (First Class without suites), J (Business Class) and Y (Economy Class).

The new designator P will apply to bookings made for travel after March 30 on aircraft featuring Emiratesââ¬â¢ exclusive private suites. [pictured]

Stephen Pearse, Emiratesââ¬â¢ Vice President, Australia said, ââ¬ÅâœThe leading-edge Emirates private suites are a distinctive innovation originally initiated by Emirates and we believe it appropriate that they are specially designated.

ââ¬~At present, 19 aircraft in the Emirates fleet, including all the Airbus A340-500s which currently operate ex-Melbourne-and Sydney, plus will feature on the new Brisbane-Dubai service effective October 08, have private suites.

Other aircraft include recently-delivered Boeing 777-300ERs and the new Boeing 777-200LRs, and further Boeing 777-300ERs will be retro-fitted.

A number of the 58 giant Airbus A380s that Emirates has on order will feature the new P class, including the aircraft due to operate to Sydney from February next year.

First Class suites cost US$125,000 to install, making them as comfortable as the most luxurious executive aircraft. They feature electronically-controlled sliding privacy screens for maximum exclusivity; massage-enabled leather seats which convert to flat beds; comfort covers, cosy fabric sleeping suits and slippers, down pillows and cotton-lined blankets. Other touches of luxury include a dining table, mini-bar, built-in vanity table with mirror and an overnight amenity kit.

Multi-course meals, created by top international chefs can be ordered a la carte from an extensive menu at any time with a phone call to crew and served in the comfort of the suite.

Customers of the new P-Class will also enjoy Emirates Chauffeur drive service which has been available to Business and First Class passengers. The Chauffeur drive service is available within a 40km radius of Sydney and Perth or a 60km radius of Melbourne or Brisbane airports.

Of course the luxury continues upon arrival at the airport with the exclusive Emirates lounges. Brisbane is receiving a new state-of-the art lounge in April 2008 which will be one of the first lounges worldwide to have direct-to-plane access.
