Cosmos to resume charters to Kenya

Cosmos will resume its charter programme to Mombasa, Kenya from May with weekly flights from Gatwick.

The operator said its current scheduled programme from Heathrow to Nairobi to serve safari combinations will also continue throughout the summer season.

The programme was suspended at the beginning of the year following civil unrest in the country.

The Monday charter service, operated by Monarch Airlines, will start up again on May 5.

Sara Gelder, head of specialist products, said: ââ¬ÅâœAs a direct result of assurances we have received from the Kenyan Government and advice from our agents and suppliers on the ground, we believe that Kenya is now firmly open for business."
