Hotel booking website Splendia has secured an injection of funds from CrÃ~©dit Agricole Private Equity of â'~¬3 million.
This is in addition to an original investment by Alven Capital, which has invested â'~¬2 million since 2006 to help finance Splendiaââ¬â¢s international growth.
Splendia, which operates a hotel booking website for ââ¬Åâluxury and character hotelsââ¬~, now has a selection of more than 1,750 hotels worldwide.
It claims its turnover has doubled yearly to reach â'~¬27 million in 2007.
It said the funds from CrÃ~©dit Agricole Private Equity will help the company expand in America and Asia and support marketing strategies to ensure greater customer loyalty.
