AMResorts, provider of sales, marketing and brand management services for Secrets, Dreams and Sunscape Resorts & Spas, announced an aggressive expansion plan to develop 17 new resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Aruba.
Within the next 24 months, AMResorts will grow from 9 to 26 resorts, bringing its Unlimited-LuxuryÃ~® concept to new Caribbean and Mexican regions.
By 2010, the company says its portfolio will have more than 10,000 guest rooms and suites in more than 10 resort destinations.
ââ¬ÅâThe expansion plans call for AMResorts to broaden its presence in Mexico with new properties in some of the countryââ¬â¢s emerging and most popular vacation regions including Huatulco, Nuevo Vallarta, Punta de Mita, Nayarit, and La Paz,ââ¬~ the company says in a press release.
ââ¬ÅâHigh demand and repeat guest ratio coupled with continuous industry recognition encouraged our rapid expansion, making us one of the largest luxury resort companies in Mexico and the Caribbean,ââ¬~ said Alex Zozaya, CEO and President of AMResorts.
By year-end 2008, AMResorts will inaugurate a total of four new Unlimited-LuxuryÃ~® properties under its brands: Secrets Resorts & Spas, the companyââ¬â¢s adults-only brand and Dreams Resorts & Spas, which caters to affluent families traveling with children.
All properties feature expansive pools, manicured gardens, multiple Ã~ la carte restaurants and bars serving premium brands, with luxurious indoor and outdoor spa facilities.
AMResorts is developing new properties in Mexicoââ¬â¢s luxury tourism regions such as Huatulco through strategic alliances with industry partners like Gala Resorts & Hotels, according to Mr Zozaya. These partnerships help the companyââ¬â¢s accelerated growth by allowing easy entry into new markets.
In addition, over the next two years, AMResorts is also investing in existing properties.
The company says it also plans to reaffirm its commitment to travel agents through ââ¬Åâinnovative promotions, special events and contests aimed at educating and rewarding travel agents.ââ¬~
AMResorts is the provider of sales, marketing and brand management services to three brands of exclusive resort properties in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Amresort's growth to date has been impressive .How will this expansion be financed-equity,debt or a combination of same. Will the all inclusive resort concept work in the US in other than isolated locations?
