With the Australian Tourism Export Council holding its 2008 Symposium in Newcastle, New South Wales, the value of inbound tourism to the Australian economy was clearly going to be a very hot topic and the Symposium theme of innovation was going to be crucial in cementing the future of Australia in the global tourism markets.
