JAIPUR ââ¬' The city was hit by a series of seven bombs on Tuesday night, with an eighth bomb, which failed to explode, defused by police.
Ashok Parnami, the city's mayor, said Jaipur had been placed in "a state of terror" by the attacks.
Dozens of people have been arrested in connection with the attack.
The bombs went off near historic monuments in the crowded old city at one of the busiest times of the day.
Creative Travel's Kohli writes, ââ¬ÅâThe unfortunate incident that happened in Jaipur was a poor show of humanity. Many of you have written mails of support and we truly appreciate that.
"As an Indian, I am proud of the fact that these cowardly acts have never been able to shake the basic fabric of the nation. Terrorist will come and go, but life for us will move and upwards.
"As of now, the situation in Jaipur is calm. A precautionary curfew has been imposed on a few areas to allow the authorities to monitor the flow of people and do their investigations.
"Jaipur has always been a city known for the civility amongst its citizens and we do not have any concern for the safety of any travellers in the area.
"Our operations team is communicating with any partners who may have clients in the area."
