Fred. Olsen imposes surcharge on 2009 cruises

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines urged potential passengers looking to travel next year to book by July 1 to avoid a new fuel surcharge.

The new charge will be ã4 per person per night for the first two passengers in a cabin, up to a maximum charge of ã80 per cruise.

It will be ã2 per person per night for third and fourth passengers in the cabin up to a maximum charge of ã40 per person per cruise.

The supplement will apply to all new bookings on cruises featured in the lineââ¬â¢s Worldwide 2009/2010 first edition brochure.

Cruises featured in a Worldwide 2008/2009 third edition brochure, are maintained at a supplement of ã5 per person per night.

The new charge will be effective from July 1 and will apply to all new bookings.

ââ¬ÅâœPotential customers are therefore urged to confirm their bookings before July 1 in order to avoid this increased charge,ââ¬~ the company said.
