Schools operator unveils new website

A new website for schools travel operator Travelbound has been developed by TUI Travel ââ¬' Student Travel & Adventure Group.

The site contains in-depth safety information, downloads such as a ââ¬ÅâœHelp with Risk Assessmentsââ¬~ document and links to other key areas for teachers, parents, headmasters and governing bodies.

Research has proven that teachers find that safety is an overriding factor in their decision to organise tours, according to the company.

A new section for group leaders offers help and advice in the organisation of school trips.

Accessed via a secure password, leaders can download important information and documentation at the different stages during the trip planning process.

Travelbound managing director Mark Bush said: ââ¬ÅâœThe site is content rich, there are over 700 pages, whilst being very easy to navigate.

ââ¬ÅâœThrough extensive market research we quickly established that our customers, the school party leaders, want to cherry pick information as and when they have time to browse so to answer this the site has a unique but straightforward navigation and structure.

ââ¬ÅâœThere is the option to search against destination, subject or key stage.

ââ¬ÅâœThe destination section overviews all the countries we offer, all the destinations within those countries and all the educational tours within those destinations.

ââ¬ÅâœIt highlights scale and expertise and is designed to give the user a complete overview of what we offer with simple navigation options if they want to delve deeper into the site.

ââ¬ÅâœThe subject section allows the user to quickly view the destinations and tours that are relevant to core subjects and the key stage section allows users to search tours relevant to their key stage.

ââ¬ÅâœIn addition we have a ââ¬ËœWishlistââ¬â¢ section where tours can be added and reviewed at the end of their session or at a later date ââ¬' perfect for when teachers are pushed for time in school.ââ¬~
