A report in The Australian says that if the film Australia's gloriously detailed series of vodcasts, called Set to Screen, don't get your juices flowing, nothing will, wuth Luhrmann and his partner and designer Catherine Martin continue to drop enticing insights, including Martin's revelation that while Moulin Rouge! featured 480 costumes, Australia will have up to 2000.
Details of Tourism Australia's collaboration with the film are expected to be announced next week, although many of the film's tie-ins with other brands, including Qantas and R.M.Williams, have been previously announced.
A recent cover story in US Vogue revealed a couple more, with Ferragamo and local pearl house Paspaley named as designers of custom period footwear and accessories for Kidman's character, Sarah Ashley.
This comes after last month's announcement that the dress Kidman wore on the July cover of Vogue, a ball gown designed by Martin, is available to be purchased from New York luxury retailer, Bergdorf Goodman. For $US9850 ($10,000). Australia opens here November 13 and we can't wait!
