Rail Plus has launched an Explore the Top End package from Sydney or Perth to Darwin on the Indian Pacific and The Ghan which comes with a free return economy class flight.
The adult fare is from $2675 per person twin share and from $1908 for Pensioners and Commonwealth seniors card holders.
For both fare types, compartment class on both trains is Gold Class which includes restaurant car dining, private cabin with ensuite, dedicated cabin service steward, complimentary welcome kit in cabin and complimentary tea and coffee 24 hours a day.
The Sydney-Darwin trip is over three nights and from Perth it is four nights. This special package is available for sale until February 24, 2009 for travel between November 1 and March 31, 2009.
The return air trip from Darwin to either Sydney or Perth is subject to availability on the date requested and Darwin hotel bookings must be made independently and are additional to the rail package price.
