Routes from Cork to East Midlands and Prestwick are to be closed by Ryanair this autumn.
The no-frills carrier claimed increased charges from the Irish airport of 20% had led to the decision.
Daily East Midlands flights will cease on October 26 followed by the Prestwick service on October 28.
CEO Michael Oââ¬â¢Leary said the airline would not absorb a 20% rise in costs to keep the two routes open.
ââ¬ÅâA 20% increase in airport charges on these routes reduces our ability to offer really low fares at a time of higher oil prices and these higher costs will make these two new routes loss making this winter,ââ¬~ he said.
