Andrew Nicholson has been appointed managing director at TravelTainment UK.
Nicholson most recently headed up dynamic packaging at Thomas Cookââ¬â¢s independent travel division, where his core responsibility was to drive profitable growth in new and incremental, dynamically packaged inventory sales.
Previously, he held a number of MD roles in the travel industry including CheapCaribbean.co.uk, Superior Holidays and Avro Plc where he boosted direct sales from 2% to 15% in 12 months.
He will report into Andrew Owen-Jones, managing director international at the global TravelTainment ââ¬' the Amadeus Leisure Group.
TravelTainment's internet booking engine already powers the websites of 250 travel agents and tour operators in Germany and has a growing portfolio in the UK including Anatolian Sky, Perfect-trip, 24 Holidays and Littleescapes.
Owen-Jones said: ââ¬ÅâWe see a real growth opportunity for TravelTainment in the UK and one of Andrewââ¬â¢s top priorities will be to increase our UK customer base.ââ¬~
