Only a limited Eurostar service will run for the next week following last Thursdayââ¬â¢s fire in the Channel Tunnel.
The company warned people to avoid travelling unless journeys were ââ¬Åâabsolutely essentialââ¬~.
The very restricted timetable of passenger trains will leave few departures and intervals of several hours between some services until September 21.
ââ¬ÅâTravellers should check in as normal for the treain times given on their tickets and we will try to put you on one of our next available trains,ââ¬~ the company said.
ââ¬ÅâThis could mean waiting a long time before boarding. Journey times will be significantly longer.ââ¬~
Travellers on non-essential journeys up to September 21 are being offered refunds or the chance to exchange their tickets for travel at a later date.
The unaffected south tunnel reopened yesterday to allow limited passenger and freight services to resume.
