Expansion and restructuring at FCm

FCm Travel Solutions UK has undertaken a major restructuring and expansion of its UK operations in a bid to grow its business.

The TMC has re-organised its 33 business travel centres into 86 small team-based businesses, each one consisting of a maximum of seven consultants, unless dictated otherwise by customer contracts.

In addition, it has hired three new business managers for its account management team, nine new business development managers for its sales team, and four further staff for its corporate connections telemarketing department.

The appointment of new business development staff means FCm Travel Solutions has doubled its sales team in the last 12 months to total of 23 business development managers, while its corporate connections team has grown from three to 12.

The TMC said it plans further growth and remains optimistic about the business travel market despite the current economic downturn.

Alex Cousins, director of account management, said: ââ¬ÅâœWe believe that there are opportunities to be found during a recession. We still want to grow the business and recognise that the industry moves fast so we need to focus not only on quick wins but also on longer-term objectives.ââ¬~
