New Yorker Josi Kytle has been appointed head of marketing for Avis UK, based in Hayes.
She replaces Xavier Vallee, who has been promoted to head of direct marketing at Avis Europe.
Kytle joins from Avis Europe, where she led European brand and marketing communications since 2006.
Previously, she worked for British Airways in several high profile marketing roles both in London and her native New York.
During her time at Avis Europe, Kytle launched the speed of service guarantee, Avis Preferred 3 Minute Promise, across Europe and implemented new brand and communications guidelines across the corporate and licensee network.
In addition, she devised a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy for the company.
ââ¬ÅâAlthough the travel industry is facing difficult times, it is in times like these that smart businesses win share, drive customer loyalty and long-term engagement,ââ¬~ said Kytle.
