Travel management company HRG is claiming an industry first with the introduction of a fully-integrated tool to allow clients to collect management information on car rental spend.
The TMCââ¬â¢s HRG Ground Transportation tool allows agents to collect MI on the spend by booking car rental at the same time as airlines and hotels as well as check on employee compliance.
The TMC says companies are increasingly becoming aware of the lack of policy and data control around car rental spend and the technology was brought in to allow companies to capture information and thus make cost savings.
The tool, which will be rolled out first in the UK with other European markets coming on stream later this year, is fully integrated with the GDSs so ground transportation bookings are automatically updated if any amendments are made to other aspects of the travel arrangements.
Director of products at HRG Brian Merry said: ââ¬ÅâHRG Ground Transportation enables companies to consolidate their ground transportation spend and provides vital information about what is being spent where, giving businesses better control than ever before.
ââ¬ÅâOur bespoke solution accesses a variety of international and local suppliers, including clientsââ¬â¢ own preferred suppliers as required, to identify the most economical and efficient means of transportation. All suppliers are pre-approved to offer complete peace of mind to clients and ensure that their employees are safe and secure when travelling on the road wherever in the world they may be.ââ¬~
