Key Travel signs deal with Sabre

Sabre has signed a deal with travel management company Key Travel to provide it with a new back office system.

Key TravelÃ~will implement Sabreââ¬â¢s back-office system called Central Command, which is a flexible and scalable solution supporting multi-GDS.Ã~

This will ensure that Key Travel is able to benefit from the best available GDS services and meet its information management needs as it continues to expand.

The TMC provides a niche service in that it provides business travel for not-for-profit organisations where travel might be paid for by the public purse or by charitable donations. Typically international aid charities or religious organisations will work with the agency.

Sabreââ¬â¢s Travel Networkââ¬â¢s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa Martin Cowley said: ââ¬ÅâœKey Travel is a clever outfit and typical of the new breed of independent TMCs that have really got their act toegther and are getting big chunks of business.

"They employ talented people who can compete in any environment and we liked their business. What we had to say to them met their needs and itââ¬â¢s a good fit.ââ¬~
