Patricia Yates has been promoted to director strategy and insights for VisitBritain,
Yates was formerly head of press and public relations for VisitBritain, and before that she edited Holiday Which? Magazine.
In her new role, she will head a 13-strong team, overseeing corporate PR and industry communications, crisis communications and reputation management, research and insights and government affairs and advocacy.
The new Strategy and Insights division has been created as part of a major restructure of VisitBritain.
Sandie Dawe, previously strategy and communications director, will take up a new directorship role, focused entirely on leading and delivering VisitBritainââ¬â¢s strategy to maximise the tourism benefits of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Working closely with Visit London, she will create joint action plans to ensure maximum benefits to both London and Britain.
Both appointments will be effective from the start of November.
