KUALA LUMPUR - Long haul, low cost carrier, AirAsia X will launch flights to London next March and has stated a preference for using Stansted Airport due to good connectivity.
Chief executive Azran Osman-Rani said that the airline is still finalising operational details for the inaugural flight.
ââ¬ÅâWe hope to announce this year the start of sales for the flight to London,ââ¬~ he said on the sidelines of the 14th World Route Development Forum (Routes KL 2008) .
Azran said that the global economic uncertainty had in no way affected AirAsia Xââ¬â¢s business operations and in fact, it had registered a higher customer demand.

Tony Fenandez' AirAsia group has, like Virgin, demonstrated thinking outside the box can be profitable for carriers and enjoyable for passengers. Having used this carrier for an Australian destinatation I enjoyed the flight - service was as good a any major carrier.
