Butlins invites agents to help break 'pillow fight' record

Agents have been invited to help Butlins attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the worldââ¬â¢s largest pillow fight as part of BBCââ¬â¢s Children in Need.

Travel agents, media, school children and local organisations have been invited to its Minehead Resort on November 14, where Butlins will be hosting BBC Points West for a live broadcast of the 2008 fund raising telethon.

BBC Children in Needââ¬â¢s Pudsey Bear and Butlins mascot Billy Bear, along with thousands of guests holidaying at the Somerset Resort for the Party in the Pavilion Arena Break weekend, will aim to smash the current record set by 3,648 participants at the University at Albany, New York, USA, three years ago.

For day and evening visitors, entry will be permitted from 3pm to 8.30pm, with the first live broadcast taking place at 6:30pm.

Entry is free, however donations of Ã&#pound;1 to BBC Children in Need will be gratefully received.

Girl band Sugababes headline the Party in the Pavilion on Saturday night and on Saturday night the party continues with live performances from X-Factorââ¬â¢s Same Difference, and stars from Britainââ¬â¢s Got Talent, Signature, Strike, Nemesis and Kate & Gin.
