Thomson Airways and Jet2.com are increasing the hold baggage allowance for passengers.
TUI Travel-owned Thomsonfly, which completes a merger with First Choice Airways to become Thomson Airways next May, is introducing a complimentary baggage allowance of 10kg (22Ibs) per child under the age of two.
It will apply to flights operating next summer from May 1. Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways already offer a 25kg combined hand and hold luggage allowance while the carriage of infant pushchairs and buggies is free of charge.
Jet2.com is raising its hold baggage allowance by 30% from 17kg to 22kg.
The increased hold baggage allowance will apply to flights taken from April 1.
It will also apply to flights booked after October 20 and taken before March 31.
