Eurostar combines sales and marketing functions

Eurostar is to combine sales and marketing functions under a new director.

Emma Harris is promoted to sales and marketing director from Monday (November 17).

She joined the companyââ¬â¢s business sales team in 2001 from Bass Brewers where she was a national account manager. Harris has held the roles of head of business sales, then UK sales director before taking on international markets in 2005.

More recently, Harris led the change management programme for Eurostarââ¬â¢s move to St Pancras International from London Waterloo.

She will be responsible for all sales and marketing activity in both the UK and international markets.

Harris will also have responsibility for brand management and the development of the Eurostar product.

She said: ââ¬ÅâœThis is an exciting move for me personally and for the business.

ââ¬ÅâœOne of the keys to our success during recent years has been the harmonisation of sales and marketing.

ââ¬ÅâœTo now fully integrate them into one function will only make us stronger commercially, bringing a more creative approach to our sales processes and allowing for a more sales-influenced marketing strategyââ¬~.
