Turkey specialist raises 2009 capacity

Turkey specialist Wings Abroad is raising capacity for next summer.

More than 15,000 holidays will be available, up from 10,000 this year.

The operator is extending next summerââ¬â¢s season to begin in early May, going through to end October.

Some of the extra capacity will be in the Antalya region where the resorts of Lara and Kundu are featured for the first time.

The operator is offering free child places at selected hotels, early booking discounts up to Ã&#pound;150 and two weeks for the price of one in shoulder months.

Commission to agents is 13% with average selling prices up between four and 5 per cent year on year to cover additional fuel costs.

Wings Abroad flies from Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow, East Midlands, Newcastle and Bristol to coastal resorts in Turkey.

UK sales manager Chris Mansell said: ââ¬ÅâœThis summer has been the best yet. In light of such a good year and strong indications of a continuing high demand for Turkey, we are adding 5,000 capacity for 2009 to bring the total to just above 15,000.

ââ¬ÅâœA key factor in our success this year has been the ability to offer such a wide range of all inclusive deals ââ¬' there is a strong demand for this type of holiday where everything is included in the cost, particularly in the current economic climate.ââ¬~

A 2009 brochure is now being distributed.
