Cruise agents can become Ambassadors

A new scheme designed to reward agents who excel at selling cruises through their advanced knowledge and experience is to be introduced.

The ACE Ambassador accreditation scheme is being run by the Association of Cruise Experts

It will recognise the achievements of the top tier of UK agents who go that ââ¬Åâœextra mileââ¬~ in undertaking ACE training. 

Once an agent attains 100 points they become accredited as an ACE agent. Now those agents who continue to improve and update their knowledge and expertise and achieve 600 points will become an ACE Ambassador.

The scheme is being launched on December 1 and follows a tenfold increase in the number of agency staff completing the ACE training modules this year. 

ACE director Andy Harmer said: ââ¬ÅâœThis year has seen an unprecedented increase in the number of ACE online training opportunities particularly in destination where we have added an additional 18 modules in areas including Cruising East and West Mediterranean, Cruising the Eastern and Western Caribbean, and Alaska.

ââ¬ÅâœThe ACE Ambassador scheme will acknowledge the achievements of agents who make that extra effort to ensure they provide their customers with the best possible advice and guidance.

"In times of uncertainty, the ACE hallmark also provides reassurance to the public who can book with confidence knowing that the agent is knowledgeable in all aspects of cruise.ââ¬~
