Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centreââ¬â¢s 11 Country Destinations - survey results

Greece and Mediterranean Travel says that they appreciate that as travel agents you have an awful lot of information shoved in from of your noses so itââ¬â¢s pretty easy for things to slip from the radar.

Recently, though they commissioned a tourism management student from the University of Technology Sydney to conduct some market research for them on travel agent attitudes and knowledge of the company.

The say that some of the findings surprised them.

Almost 90% of agents have never read their press releases which appear in all the trade press.

GMTC say that perhaps thatââ¬â¢s their fault because they may not be sensational enough for agents to read.

A small number of agents did not know they sold Greece although we thought the company name may have been a bit of clue.  

The overwhelming majority were aware of their GREECE and TURKEY product but less than half of the travel agents surveyed in NSW, VIC and QLD knew GMTC has an extensive product range in EGYPT, ITALY, CROATIA, SPAIN, ISRAEL, JORDAN, DUBAI, CYPRUS and ABU DHABI.
