Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centreââ¬â¢s Egypt.

The Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza near Cairo are the global symbols of world tourism and recently the 5,000 year old Wonder of the World was subject to a 21st century makeover to protect the site and to ease tourism access to Egyptââ¬â¢s leading tourism attraction.

The AUD15 million dollar project involved the setting up of 199 CCTV cameras, infra red motion sensors and 16 kms of fencing to enhance security of the Giza Plateau site and stations to control and facilitate tourist access to the site.

There are now three tourist entrances to the Pyramids and Sphinx which will make access much easier  when your client take their Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre private tours of Egypt from 2009.

Further south in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, an extensive lighting development is being installed which will enable visitors to readily identify the tombs days or night. The French built lighting system is designed to be visually and environmentally sensitive. It will certainly make a difference for visitors to the Valley of the Kings in the near future.
