Peter Deilmann Cruises has appointed Claire Hancer to the newly created role of UK head of sales.
The luxury river and ocean cruise company has created the position in its London office in a bid to further raise its profile.
Hancer joins after five years of working as trade sales and marketing manager at VisitBritain.
Previously she held sales positions at Air France, KLM, Disneyland Paris and Royal Caribbean International.
In her new role, she reports to UK managing director Stuart Perl, with a focus on developing and managing UK trade relationships.
She will also introduce a scheme to assist and reward top trade sales and development agents.
