Thomas Cook and Virgin Holidays Cruises were among the top agents in the Complete Cruise Solution annual UK Cruise Awards.
Thomas Cook was named top multiple agent and won an award for greatest growth by a multiple by the umbrella sales organisation for P&O Cruises, Cunard, Ocean Village and Princess Cruises.
Virgin Holidays Cruises was awarded for the greatest sales growth by an independent, was top independent for Ocean Village and had the greatest percentage sales growth in the South for Ocean Village and Princess Cruises.
Gillââ¬â¢s Cruise Centre and Co-operative Travel Trading Group both took best online usage awards.
Jane Chadwick of Go Cruise was named as cruise sale person of the year while Charlotte Byron from Thomson was Waves of Wisdom training scheme agent of the year.
Bolsover Cruise Club was best independent agent for both P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises while Readers Offers was top independent for Cunard.
A total of 36 awards were presented at the ceremony held yesterday at Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire attended by 80 travel agents.
Other winners included The Cruise Specialists, Sovereign Cruise Club, Ideal Cruising, 1st4Cruising, American Express, Hays Travel, Cruise Saver Travel, Jetline, Liverpool Cruise Club, Trailfinders, The Cruise Village, First Option, Wallace Arnold Travel Shop and Cruise 1st.
