Carlson Wagonlit Travel has signed a definitive agreement and acquired the travel operations of its CWT franchisee in Ontario.
Madison Travel, based in Ottawa, joined CWT as an associate franchisee and has operated as CWT Madison Travel for almost 10 years.
CWT said the acquisition is in line with its ongoing growth strategy, which ââ¬Åâincludes targeted acquisitions, as well as strong sales to new and existing clientsââ¬~.
Sandra Granatstein, outgoing owner of CWT Madison Travel, said the timing was right for the company and its clients.
ââ¬ÅâAfter 32 years in the travel industry, I am ready to take on new challenges and enter a new phase in my life,ââ¬~ she said.
She will continue to support the business in a consulting capacity. By Bev Fearis
