MSC Magnifica floated out of dry dock

 
 
 
MSC Magnifica, sister ship to MSC Poesia which was launched last year, has been floated out of its dry dock.
 
The latest in the Italian line’s Musica class of vessels is due to be launched in March 2010.
 
When completed the vessel will weigh around 93,300 tonnes and be 294 metres long, 50 metres high and 32 metres wide.
 
MSC Magnifica, under construction at the STX shipyard in Saint Nazaire in France, will include seven themed areas.
 
Sixty five per cent of cabins will have balconies, while there will be more than 22,000 square metres of public areas.
 
Features will include a 1,160 square metre wellness and spa treatment centre, two swimming pools and four hot tubs.
