PlayStation consoles are being rolled out to Costa Cuises ships starting in May.
Under an agreement between Costa and Sony, PlayStation3 and PlayStation2 will be installed on the newly-launched Costa Luminosa (on Northern European cruises) and Costa Pacifica (deployed in the Mediterranean).
The games technology will then be gradually extended to the other 12 ships in the fleet.
In addition to the PS3 and PS2 consoles available onboard, four PS3 touch screen cabinets will be set up in the Savona Palacrociere, the cruise terminal managed directly by Costa Cruises.
PlayStation World will be an area exclusively dedicated to PS3.
PlayStations will also be available in the cabins, on the lido deckââ¬â¢s big screen TV and in the shipââ¬â¢s children and teen clubs.
The cruise line claims it will be the first to take PlayStation to sea.
