Silversea bookings mean sales boost for homeworkers

Future Travelââ¬â¢s specialist cruise division, Instant Cruise Holidays, has reported that its post-Christmas sales are up by 40% year-on-year, with an increase in margin of 0.5%.

General manager Fay Thompson said there has been a rise in luxury sales, particularly with Silversea.

ââ¬ÅâœWith an average booking value of Ã&#pound;8,263, it is great to have this business,ââ¬~ she said.

ââ¬ÅâœThe highest value booking we've made was with Silversea atÃ&#pound;21,159 for two people.

ââ¬ÅâœThe lates market is strong with 57% of sales coming from bookings up to the end of April, although weââ¬â¢ve seen fewer families booking for summer. The feedback is that they will book nearer the time.

ââ¬ÅâœMeanwhile, the ââ¬Ëœgrey poundââ¬â¢ is very strong with an increase in older couples booking.ââ¬~
