Cruise line plans TV ad push

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is to embark on its second national television advertising campaign.

The £425,000 advertising push will run from February until May promoting the five ships in the fleet and their worldwide destinations.

The theme of the campaign is the friendly, home from home feel on board the ships.

The 40-second commercial will be appearing on both terrestrial and satellite channels including ITV1 (Meridian and Central regions), ITV3, Channel 4 (selected regions), More 4, Hallmark, TCM, Alibi, UKTV Gold, Dave, UK Hits, and Setanta.

Marketing manager Mike Bird said: "We have planned this campaign to focus on a traditionally busy holiday-booking period of the year, and the channels have been selected with our target audience in mind - namely the active over 50’s, who make up the majority of our customers."
