Lastminute.com chief executive Ian McCaig has been appointed to Bigmouthmedia’s board in a non-executive role.
The Edinburgh-based company is Europe’s largest independent digital marketing agency.
McCaig, who remains in his role at lastminute.com, will bring much experience to the role having overseen his compamy’s operations across Europe and bedded in Travelolcity after its purchase in July.
McCaig said: "Digital marketing plays an increasingly important role in the success of online commerce and it is a particularly exciting time for this growth sector.
"The industry is set to take an even more prominent place on the global stage and, as a leading-edge brand with a great history and pan-European footprint, bigmouthmedia is perfectly positioned to remain at the forefront of this fast evolving industry."
Prior to working at lastminute.com, McCaig was vice-president of 3G operations at Nokia.
