Winners of the British Travel Awards 2008 will be listed in The Sunday Times newspaper this Sunday.
Awards organisers said the timing is designed to coincide with the extended early-booking period that the industry is seeing this year.
Along with a full list of the winning companies voted for by trade and consumers throughout the summer of last year, the magazine also features editorial comment.
This will include an interview with Roger Allard, chairman of All Leisure Group plc, on what happens behind the scenes in the wake of a travel company collapse such as that of XL Holidays.
The results of the attitudinal survey collated during last year’s voting period for the British Travel Awards is also included.
More than 12,000 consumers completed the survey and the magazine will include a summary of what they will be looking for when making their travel plans for 2009.
The nomination stage for The British Travel Awards 2009 will launch on April 1 via the website.
From July 1, consumers and the audiences of the BTA’s media partners will be encouraged to vote on those nominated companies before the winners are announced at The British Travel Awards 2009 gala ceremony on Thursday November 5.
