Manchester Airports Group is to cut almost 100 jobs due to a drop in passenger numbers.
The regional airport company said 305 employees would need to re-apply for 215 new positions following a review of its staffing structure.
MAG said 25 jobs will be lost at East Midlands Airport, with 60 people asked to reapply for 35 new posts.
Only three jobs will go at Bournemouth Airport, which the group said had "significant potential for future growth".
Its other airport, Humberside, is not affected by the review.
Group chief executive Geoff Muirhead said: "Every forward-looking successful business continually adapts and changes to maintain its competitive edge and we are no different.
"As a result of the current recession, the business is already experiencing reductions in passenger throughput, which in turn reduces the income that it receives from our airline, and retail partners.
"The shorter-term outlook for the economy is not positive and as a business we expect to continue to face ongoing reductions in passenger numbers in the coming months, and we must respond to these circumstances."
