Virgin Holidays has made a number of redundancies as part of ââ¬Ëorganisational changesââ¬â¢ and a review of costs.
Among those made redundant is general manager brand and communications Helena Beard.
The long haul operator said it had conducted a thorough review of its costs, to achieve an overall saving of approximately seven per cent.
ââ¬ÅâIn addition to the cost savings identified as a result of this review, organisational changes have been proposed,ââ¬~ a statement said, without clarifying details of potential job losses.
ââ¬ÅâThe new structure has been achieved through natural attrition, a reduction in short term contracted roles and a review of selected additional roles across the company.ââ¬~
The company employs 600 permanent staff in the UK.
ââ¬ÅâThese proactive changes will enable the company to continue delivering award winning worldwide holidays to its customers, and maintain its strong market position moving forward,ââ¬~ the statement said.
