EasyJetââ¬â¢s Judicial Review over airport charges at Gatwick Airport began yesterday in the High Court.
The case is with regard to the Civil Aviation Authorityââ¬â¢s setting of airport charges at Gatwick Airport for 2008-2012.
EasyJet is accusing the CAA of having one-sided consultation with BAA, failing to share information provided by BAA, consulting with BAA after the consultation cut-off date, and failing to properly analyse or scrutinise BAA costs.
It also claims the CAA failed to disclose sufficient information to allow airlines to scrutinise BAA security costs or consult on the proposed per passenger figure.
A judgement is expected to be given within 4-8 weeks of the court hearing, which is scheduled to run until March 21.
