Airline brings forward Manchester expansion

New routes to Corfu, Athens, Bastia and Dalaman from Manchester have been brought forward by Easyjet.

Flights will now run this summer following the switch to start the services from May 21 instead of August.

The expansion will see an additional aircraft based at Manchester and increased frequencies to the summer destinations of Alicante, Malaga, Malta, Paphos and Tenerife.

Fares for the new routes start at £22.99 (£44.78 return) including tax and go on sale from today (Monday).

The airline’s commercial manager Carly Brear said: "This is great news for the North West, not only does our additional aircraft mean more jobs and more visitors to the region but, it means that customers in the North West can now take advantage of even more of easyjet’s famously low fares to the summer hotspots across Europe, with the care and convenience when flying from their local airport."
