26 March 2009
MELBOURNE - The new dates of AIME 2010, 18th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, will be March 2-3 not April 27-28 as previously advised.
The change of date is a result of industry requests for AIME to be held as close as possible to February, new availability at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the declaration of Monday April 26 as a substitute public holiday for ANZAC Day in the state of Victoria.
ââ¬ÅâAIME is traditionally the first industry event of the year and our exhibitors, hosted buyers and visitors see this as an important strategic advantage, ââ¬~ said Paul Kennedy, group exhibition director, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE).
RTE and Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) previously announced that AIME 2010 would be held in April, not February, due to Chinese New Year and availability at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
