Joint TTA/Worldchoice conference for Heathrow

The Travel Trust Association and Worldchoice plan a joint conference for the first time this year in the UK.

Up to 400 agents are expected to attend the event is scheduled for the weekend of November 21-22 at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel at Heathrow.

The TTA Worldchoice Cruise Club Conference will also be incorporated into the event.

The conference, under the theme 'Right Here, Right Now,' will include plenary and workshop sessions, as well as a day of speed-dating with suppliers.

Breakout sessions will be run with separate streams on different issues, and unique sessions for TTA and Worldchoice members.

An awards dinner will recognise the most popular suppliers in a range of categories.

TTA Worldchoice managing director Simon Hargreaves said: "This is not the year to be holding a travel agents conference abroad.

"Time is money, and when times are tough both are in short supply, so we are making it easy for members to attend and we are keeping their costs down to a minimum.

"This is the first time that TTA and Worldchoice have come together properly in significant numbers and we will be looking to help our members to set up deals that will see their businesses grow in 2010".
