Manchester Airport has appointed William Pearson as head of aviation sales.
His appointment follows the recent expansion of commercial director Andrew Harrisonââ¬â¢s role, who took overall responsibility for the airportââ¬â¢s commercial activities including aviation development in January this year.
Pearson joins Manchester Airport from Airport Coordination Limited (ACL).
Harrison said the expanded aviation development team was already in talks with several long-haul and low-cost airlines looking to launching new routes and services in the next 18 months and beyond.
He said airlines have shown particular interest in adding services to the Far East and new destinations in the US.
ââ¬ÅâAlthough the current economic climate has seen a short-term decline in air passengers across the world, and a number of high profile changes to Manchester Airportââ¬â¢s airline partners, the long term prospects are very positive.ââ¬~

This is the right direction in times were many companies spent much time and "creativity" how the can reduce costs by firing qualified staff: MAN demonstrates a strategic vision that sees recovery at the horizon. Therefore qualified staff is simply needed.
