SYDNEY ââ¬'Royal Caribbean and sister brand Celebrity Cruises have wrapped up a record season in Australia.
With Royal Caribbeanââ¬â¢s Rhapsody of the Seas and Celebrity Cruisesââ¬â¢ Millennium ships both based in Sydney for the summer 2008/09 season the pair carried more than 50,000 guests from late October to April.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia commercial manager Adam Armstrong said the season had been an especially busy one for the company and he is looking forward to building on the success.
ââ¬ÅâThis was our first full season with two ships in Australia and weââ¬â¢re delighted with the amazing feedback about the range of activities and quality of service on board from our guests ââ¬' particularly from locals cruising with us for the first time.ââ¬~
He said that there is also a wide range of cruise options on board Royal Caribbean ships outside of Australia.
ââ¬ÅâLegend of the Seas is cruising in Asia from Singapore and Shanghai whilst Mariner of the Seas has just moved to a new base in Los Angeles where she is the largest ever superliner to sail to Mexico.ââ¬~
Royal Caribbeanââ¬â¢s Rhapsody of the Seas returns to Australian waters in October this year with 15 voyages from Sydney including 10-night Barrier Reef cruises, circumnavigations of Australia and visits to New Zealand and Tasmania.
