KUALA LUMPUR - AirAsia group chief executive Tony Fernandes has assured his followers that his health is okay.
Fernandes fainted at KLââ¬â¢s Low Cost Carrier Terminal on Monday evening after attending AirAsia's Penang-Singapore inaugural flight celebration earlier in the day.
Writing on Twitter, Fernandes assured those concerned for his health: ââ¬ÅâAm fine. Resting at home as the doc ordered. Everythingââ¬â¢s okay and am just exhausted.ââ¬~
While heââ¬â¢s taking time out, the AirAsia CEO might want to run his eye over recent comments by Ryanair budget airline boss, Michael Oââ¬â¢Leary.
Undaunted by Ryanairââ¬â¢s pre-tax loss of 180.4m euros in the 12 months to the end of March, Oââ¬â¢Leary predicted, "In the coming winter, there will be a bloodbath in the industry.
ââ¬ÅâWe will hopefully cause most of that and the losers will be BA, easyJet and other high-fare airlines," he said.
O'Leary is still looking at the on-board lavatories as a source of extra revenue although he has discounted asking passengers to pay to use them.
However, he added, "If we can get rid of two of the three toilets on a 737, we can add an extra six seats."
Hopefully, not in the toilets...

Michael O'Leary's plans to remove toilets from Ryan Air -- first airline to introduce Looless Class, makes 'leisure travel' an oxymoron. I can see the new Ryanair ad campaign already: 'No money, no dunny'
