Ryanair passengers are being told they must check in online in advance of the airline’s website closing for ten hours.
The site www.ryanair.com will close from 19.00 on June 24 until 05.00 the following morning due to an "essential upgrade maintenance".

This is the second or third time theyve done this (shutdown) and it does make me wonder; why do other major websites not have to close down for maintainance? Why is ryanair having to?

Personally I think this story is completely pointless as Ryanair dont want the trade so why do we need to know. For me they could shut down for 10 years and I would not notice.

The dates seem to be incorrect here...June 24th is the Wednesday and not the Thursday...
