Eurostar adopts single fare pricing structure

Eurostar has introduced single fares to all its destinations but has also increased its Leisure Select return fare.

The new single fares start from the inclusive price of Ã&#pound;35 for London to Paris/Brussels.

Eurostar has also removed its ââ¬Åâœstay awayââ¬~ conditions such as Saturday Night Away, One Night Away, Midweek Day Return and Weekend Day Return.

Commercial director Nick Mercer said: ââ¬ÅâœWe want to help travellers who are planning a tour of Europe or who need the flexibility to return by a different route, by making low priced single fares available.ââ¬~

But the rail operator has also put up the lead-in fare for Leisure Select return travel from London-Paris/Brussels from Ã&#pound;119 to Ã&#pound;175 return.

It said the price ââ¬Åâœmore accurately reflects the product offeringââ¬~.

Passengers travelling Leisure Select get more spacious seats, roomier carriages, a three-course meal with wine, complimentary newspapers and magazines, and ââ¬Ëœat seatââ¬â¢ service.

It has retained its lead-in return fare of Ã&#pound;59, which has gone unchanged for over six years.
