PARIS ââ¬' Accorââ¬â¢s Ibis hotel chain is riding the current craze for people to expose their lives on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube,

As part of its European summer promotional campaign, The Sleepwalkers, the Ibis hotel chain is launching the ââ¬ËœEveryone in Pyjamasââ¬â¢ online video competition, with total prize money of 7,000â'š~¬ (over AU$12,000).

The promotion also launches consumer discounts of 10â'š~¬ or 15â'š~¬ per night in some 700 Ibis hotels around Europe.

The competition will offer prizes for the 21 most original, funny and creative videos featuring people in their pyjamas, posted on the dedicated website www.everyoneinpyjama.com.

Up to July 15, candidates are invited to create an original video and post it on the website showing what they do, or what they dream of doing, in their pyjamas

From July 16 until August 13, the public will be able to vote on the website for their favourite video.

The results will be announced on August 3. The winner of first prize, awarded by a jury, will receive 5,000â'š~¬.

The 20 other videos will also receive prizes based upon online votes.

Footnote: TravelMole has been checking out the videos so far loaded on the site and our vote goes to the Pyjama Bandit video.
