Thomson rebrands long haul programme

Thomson Worldwide has been re-launched as Thomson Tailormade Worldwide in a move by the operator to provide flexible and bespoke holidays.

Discounts of up to £1,000 are being claimed on 5,000 holidays in the long haul programme which covers the period from September 2009 until January 2011.

A range of complementary extras include room upgrades, additional nights, board upgrades, private transfers, excursions and spa treatments.

A partnership with Climatecare means the operator will pay for every flight booked until September 31 to be carbon offset.

"Some of our best value holidays are to far-flung destinations like Thailand and Kenya where prices are well down on last year," said programme director Lesley Rollo.

"The name Thomson Tailormade defines more clearly the flexibility and individually tailored nature of the holidays and services we offer and differentiates us from the charter side of the business.

"Thomson Tailormade offers a choice of scheduled carriers, flexibility of durations and departure days and also a touring and multi-centre aspect."

She said the brochure had been designed to allow customers to benefit from savings even during the peak season.

"We are constantly negotiating great rates and value added offers with our suppliers to pass on to our customers," said Rollo.

The India programme has been revamped and now offers a better choice of  hotels and a wider range of tours.

The Egypt programme has been expanded to include Nile cruising and new resorts.

New tour to Brazil, Costa Rica and Mexico are featured along with add-ons to destinations such as Peru and Argentina.

The brochure also includes the Indian Ocean, Africa, Middle East and Caribbean.
