Virgin Atlantic is offering passengers discounts on duty free to encourage them to check in online.
Between 1 July and 31 August 2009, all passengers travelling from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow Airports who check in online will receive £6 off their duty free shopping onboard the flight, when spending £30 or more.
Passengers travelling from Heathrow will also receive exclusive vouchers for savings with selected duty free retailers within the departure areas of Terminal 3 at Heathrow.
"We hope that this promotion will encourage passengers to check in online before their trip as it means their journey through the airport during these busy summer months will be made much easier and more enjoyable," said sales and marketing director Paul Dickinson.
